G Campbell Morgan Sermons
G. Campbell Morgan was a prolific preacher, fondly known as the “Prince of Expositors.” Many of his sermons can be found in the Westminster Pulpit Series, as well as in records of his preaching at various conferences. He was much in demand for conferences and often joined D L Moody for his Northfield Conference where he was a regular speaker.
THE WESTMINSTER PULPIT SERIES
- Originally 11 Volumes – first published yearly from 1906-1916
- Note – the volumes sold online are most often NOT the original Westminster Pulpit Series. The original ones published by Hodder and Stoughton were 52 chapters in length (one for each week of the year) and included missions sermons, as well as a few series intended for later publication…though that sometimes did not transpire.
- See this page for more details on the differences with more recent versions – which miss half the content!

THE MUNDESLEY BIBLE CONFERENCE
- Mundesley Bible Conference report of the lectures.
- These contain many of the “Graded Bible” lectures, as well as various sermons by Dr Morgan and many guest speakers.
Above is an example of the 1915 Mundesley Conference. They usually followed the same format, starting with Morgan giving one of his “Graded Bible” lectures, with a variety of other speakers addressing other topics. In 1915 (with the war going on and memories of the Welsh Revival still fresh) the conference covered Revival, Evangelism, and Faith. Some of the guests included General Bramwell Booth, as well as the great missionary to Islam, Samuel Zwemer.
THE NORTHFIELD CONFERENCE
- This was the conference that D. L. Moody held each year, where Campbell Morgan was often a guest speaker (as were other famous Bible Teachers and Preachers such as Andrew Murray, F. B. Meyer and others).
- In 1896 Moody invited him to lecture to the students at the Moody Bible Institute. This was the first of 54 visits to America to preach and teach. After the death of Moody in 1899 Morgan assumed the position of director of the Northfield Bible Conference…

THE WESTMINSTER BIBLE RECORD
There was a lot going on at Westminster back in those days! Morgan also led various other conferences and teaching sessions that were recorded in the “Westminster Bible Record,” the first volume of which was published in 1910.
Here’s a picture of the Westminster Bible Record, Volume 9, from the year 1918. There are talks about the war, plus exposition on the book of Acts (later published separately as well), Haggai, apologetic works…What does the Bible teach about different topics.
